Roche Harbor, is a sheltered harbor on the northwest side of San Juan Island in San Juan County, Washington, United States, and the site of a resort of the same name. Originally the harbor belonged to the Roche Harbor Lime Company which claimed to be the largest producer of lime west of the Mississippi. Today Roche Harbor is a resort and marina popular year-round among boaters and tourists.
Roche Harbor is just 10 miles from Friday Harbor which is the county seat of the San Juan Islands. While Roche Harbor has an airport, a small grocery store, fine dining, a cafe, a kids playground, a swimming pool, and a boat launch many more services can be found in the town of Friday Harbor.
Roche Harbor resort and Marina is surrounded by some of the most valuable luxury real estate in the San Juan Islands.

History Roche Harbor was named in honor of Richard Roche, who served under British Captain Henry Kellett in 1846 and Captain James Charles Prevost in 1857-60.[1]
The resort was formerly a company town surrounding the Tacoma and Roche Harbor Lime Company, which was incorporated in 1886. Lime production was a major industry and revenue source for a corporation run by John S. McMillin, whose ashes are buried in a large mausoleum nearby. Other interesting facts about the San Juans. The harbor itself provides one of the better protected anchorages in the islands; it is surrounded on the east side by San Juan Island, on the north and west by Pearl Island and Brown Island.
