At one point in time the Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen was the proud owner of the 292 acre Allan Island which is just west of Anacortes in the San Juan Islands.
Paul Allen originally bought the island in 1992 for $25 million.
Paul Allen also owns another piece of real estate in the San Juan's known as the Sperry Peninsula located on Lopez Island. He purchased the property in 1996 for $8 million.
Allan Island which has around 2 miles of waterfront property, over six beaches, and over 24 parcel lots which have potential to be developed. It is estimated that one of these lots could easily fetch $1 million.
Allan Island has a private dock, a small cabin, and a private dock.
